Recombinant protein corresponding to human IL-11 expressed in E. coli.
Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor which stimulates the growth and survivability of certain B cells and T cells. Human IL-11 is a 19.1kD protein containing 178 amino acid residues. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): 2-4ug/ml (100µl/well), Detects recombinant human IL-11 when used with I8433-03 as the detection antibody at a concentration of ~1-2ug/ml Neutralization: 2.4-3.6µg/ml Yields one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hIL-11 (5ng/ml). Immunohistochemistry (human brain stroke (including control cortex and stroke core areas) tissue): 2.5ug/ml overnight at 4C followed by a fluorescent labeled secondary antibody. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
