Recombinant corresponding to Ala2-Asn590 from human IRAK2 expressed in E. coli.
IRAK2 is an 75kD, 625aa member of the IL-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK) family. The four IRAKs are ser/thr kinases that regulate signaling from Toll-like and IL-1 receptors. IRAKs contain N-terminal death domains and central kinase domains, but activity of the IRAK2 kinase domain is unknown. IRAK1 provides initial, and IRAK2 sustained, NFkB activation and proinflammatory cytokine production in macrophages, acting downstream of IRAK4. In the region used as an immunogen, human IRAK2 shares 69-70aa identity with mouse and rat IRAK2, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
