Control peptide for K1893-01 serum and K1893-03 affinity purified antibodies. Animal models of human aging which display the characteristic diseases associated with aging provide insight into the cause of such diseases. Recently a transgenic mouse model, called Klotho, with several premature aging phenotypes has been described. They display premature aging phenotypes such as Osteoporosis, age related skin changes, ectopic calcifications, atrophy of genital organs and thymus, emphysema and short life span. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Not suitable for Western Blot due to low MW (< 3kD). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 50-100ng/well. Antibody Blocking: 5-10ug for 1ul K1893-01 or 1ug K1893-03. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
