Livin is a member of the family of inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAP) and contains a single copy of a baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) as well as a RING zinc finger (RZF) domain. Livin has direct interaction with several caspases including caspase-3, -7, and -9. This protein inhibits the activation of caspase-9 induced by Apaf-1, cytochrome c, and dATP. Recombinant human Livin fused to His-tag at N-terminus was expressed in E.coli and purified by conventional chromatography techniques. Recombinant corresponding to aa1-298 from human Livin, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
