MacConkey agar is a selective and differential medium for detection of coliforms and other enteric organisms. Appearance: Beige with pale pink tint, homogenous, free-flowing powder. pH (5%): 7.1 0.2 Microbiology: The medium was prepared according to formulation and inoculated with the organisms listed below.
