MIP-3 beta is a CC chemokine that is expressed in the thymus, lymph nodes and in activated bone marrow stromal cells and signals through the CCR7 receptor. MIP-3 beta is a chemoattractant for T and B lymphocytes and myeloid progenitor cells. Human MIP-3 beta is active on murine cells. Recombinant human MIP-3 beta is an 8.8kD protein containing 77 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human T cells using a concentration of 10-50ng/ml. Amino Acid Sequence: GTNDAEDCCL SVTQKPIPGY IVRNFHYLLI KDGCRVPAVV FTTLRGRQLC APPDQPWVER IIQRLQRTSA KMKRRSS Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% BSA or HSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
