Recombinant protein corresponding to human MART-1. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic.
MART-1 (Melanoma Antigen Recognized by T-cells 1) or Melan-A is a newly identified melanocyte differentiation antigen recognized by autologous cytotoxic T lymphocytes. MART-1 is present in melanosomes and endoplasmic reticulum. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation: Use Protein G, 2ug antibody/mg protein lysate Western Blot: 1ug/ml for 2 hours at RT. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen & formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 min. at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min., followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: CaC1 melanoma cells and melanomas. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
