Macrophage/monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. Recombinant protein corresponding to rat MCP-1, containing 125aa and having a molecular mass of 14.09kD, expressed in E. coli. Biological Activity: Determined by the ability of Rat MCP-1 to chemoattract human peripheral blood at 10-100ng/ml. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
