The MCP proteins are members of the CC chemokine family that signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated Tcells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross-reacts across species. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA (sandwich): 0.25-1ug/ml, in conjunction with M2750-08D as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant mouse MCP2. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant mouse MCP2 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
