MaxLight(TM)490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight(TM)488, Alexa Fluor(TM)488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm), Emission (515nm), Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Human macrophage/monocyte chemotactic protein-3 (MCP-3) is a 8.5kD protein containing 76 amino acids residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes, tissue macrophages, and eosinophils. The gene encoding this protein encodes monocyte chemotactic protein 3, a secreted chemokine which attracts macrophages during inflammation and metastasis. It is a member of the C-C subfamily of chemokines which are characterized by having two adjacent cysteine residues. The protein is an in vivo substrate of matrix metalloproteinase 2, an enzyme which degrades components of the extracellular matrix. This gene is part of a cluster of C-C chemokine family members on chromosome 17q. Applications: Suitable for use in Neutralization and FLISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hMCP-3 (100ng/ml), a concentration of 1-3ug/ml of this antibody is required. FLISA: 1:20,000 dilution of a 1mg/ml antibody solution will give satisfactory results in a direct FLISA using alkaline phosphatase goat anti-mouse Ig. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Reconstitution: Reconstitute in sterile sterile 40-50% glycerol to 1mg/ml. Source: Acites. Hybridoma: Produced in C3H/HeJ mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
