Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa154-167, CSRPSTSSRRRAISE, of human MDM2.
MDM2 forms a complex with p53 leading to p53 inhibition. MDM2 also acts to stimulate cell proliferation via its induction of transcription factors such as E2F1 and DPI. MDM2 is overexpressed in a range of human malignancies, including soft tissue sarcomas, breast cancer and bladder cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:200-1:500, Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. EDTA, pH 8.0, is recommended. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Immunohistochemistry: Resin Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
