Control peptide for N2176-63F, anti-Neuropeptide Y Y2 Receptor (NPY Y2R). Several subtypes of NPY Receptors have been described of which the cloned Y1-, Y2- and Y5- receptors, members of the superfamily of G-protein coupled receptors, appear to be the endogenous binding sites for NPY. TheY(2) receptor is the predominant Neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptor subtype in the brain. Y(2) receptor-mediated effects have been reported principally based on the observations using the C-terminal fragments of NPY. Recent studies indicate an involvement of the receptor in food intake, gastrointestinal motility, cardiovascular regulation, and neuronal excitability. NPY Y2 Receptor is a 7-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor N-terminal peptide. This sequence is to the absolute C-terminus of Y2 receptor and is an intracellular domain.
