Synthetic peptide selected from the N-terminal region of human PACSIN1, conjugated to KLH.
PACSINs, also known as syndapins, are a protein family consisting of three members that have been implicated in synaptic vesicular membrane trafficking and regulation of dynamin-mediated endocytotic processes (Cuajungco, 2006). It is presumed that all isoforms bind Dynamin, Synaptojanin 1 and N-WASP through their Src homology 3 domains. While PACSIN1 appears to be restricted to neural tissues, two PACSINs are more widespread with PACSIN2 being ubiquitously expressed and PACSIN3 present mainly in skeletal muscle, heart and lung (Modregger, 2001). PACSIN1 has been implicated as playing a central role in synaptic vesicle recycling (Kessels, 2004). Expected molecular weight is 51kD. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Mouse brain lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
