| PADI4 (Protein-arginine deiminase type-4) is a member of a family of enzymes responsible for the conversion of arginine residues to citrulline residues via catalysis of the deimination of the arginine residues. PADI4 down-regulates histone H3 and H4 arginine methylation, both by preventing arginine methylation by CARM1 and HRMT1L2/PRMT1 and by converting methylarginine to citrulline. This protein may play a role in granulocyte and macrophage development leading to inflammation and immune response. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:25-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HEK293 cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
