Source: Calf Intestine Prepared from US origin starting material and collected in USDA approved facilities Protein Concentration: 1mg/ml Assay Method: Based on the method of Garen and Levinthal whereby the reaction velocity is derived by measuring the absorbance increase at 410nm after hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl phosphate. Form: Supplied as a liquid in deionized water. Activity: ~3000 units/mg protein (glycine units). 1 glycine unit = 2-3 DEA units Unit Definition: One unit of enzyme hydrolyzes 1umole of p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at 37C, pH 9.8 in the presence of Mg and Zn.
