Native calf alkaline phosphatase. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: May be diluted in sterile ddH2O or in dilute buffer. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Activity: 4000U/mg protein. 1 unit liberates 1umole of p-nitrophenol per minute at 37C and pH 9.8 in DEA buffer. Activity is determined by measuring the increase in the optical density at 405nm resulting from the hydrolysis of p-notrophenyl phosphate. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
