PAI-1 protein has a single substitution at either the P12 or P14 position on the reactive center loop facilitating a conversion of the proteins to a substrate for proteases rather than an inhibitor. Useful for mechanistic studies. Source: PAI-1 from human plasma Solubility: 2~5mg/ml Absorption: 280nm Molecular Weight: 43kD Activity: Substitution at the P14 position on the reactive center loop creates a PAI-1 substrate for proteinases rather than an inhibitor. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
