Catalytic domain, (a.a. 1675-1996), MW=37.7kD, expressed in an E. coli expression system. Specific Activity: 40 U/ug. Unit Definition: One unit will hydrolyze 1 nmol p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at pH 7.4 and 30C Application: Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, regulation, and to dephosphorylate target substrates. Other applications not tested. Assay buffer: 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.4, 2 mM EDTA, 3 mM DTT, 100 mM NaCl, 50mM pNPP. Storage and Stability: For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
