RAB14 is a member of the RAB protein family, low molecular mass monomeric GTPases localized on the cytoplasmic surfaces of distinct membrane bound organelles. This protein is thought to be involved in vesicular trafficking and neurotransmitter release throughout the body and is expressed at high levels in brain, lung, kidney, spleen and thymus. It is involved in the biosynthetic/recycling pathway between the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Purified by using conventional chromatography. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-215 of human RAB14, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
