Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser380 of human p90RSK.
90kD ribosomal S6 kinases (RSK1-3) are a family of broadly expressed serine/threonine kinases activated by extracellular signal-regulated protein kinases (Erk1 and 2) in response to many growth factors, polypeptide hormones and neurotransmitters (1). p90RSK is activated by MAPK in vitro and in vivo via phosphorylation (4). Several sites, such as Ser380, Thr359 and Ser363, are important for its activation (3). RSK3 resembles p90RSK by having two kinase domains connected by a regulator linker region (2). Phosphorylation of p90RSK (and likely RSK2 and RSK3) in the linker region is critical for its activity (3). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
