Location: 20 Amino acids near the C-terminus of SARS Spike protein (1-2). Applications: The peptide is used for blocking the activity of the SARS Spike (CT) antibody. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in ELISA assays by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37C. It may also act to block the SARS Spike (CT) antibody in Western blots. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
