Streptavidin is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain having a molecular mass of 240kD and containg 4 subunits each with a binding site for biotin. The neutral isoelectric point of Streptavidin and the high affinity of the biotin-streptavidin interaction result in a very quick reaction with a high signal to noise ratio. Streptavidin does not react non-specifically with endogenous lectins when used in immunological assays on cells and tissues. Streptavidin is non- or very low charged around pH 7, reducing NSB to charged molecules to a very limited level. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Dot Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoperoxidase Electron Microscopy. Other applications not tested. Recomended Dilution: ELISA: 1-2ug/ml Western Blot: 0.01-0.1ug/ml for Western blotting with ECL substrates 1-2ug/ml for Western blotting with chromogenic substrates Immunohistochemistry: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at -20C after receipt. Reconstitute with sterile 1ml ddH2O prior to use. To avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot reconstituted stock solution and store at -20C. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Country of Origin: USA
Reinheit: Purified by ion exchange chromatography.
Formulierung: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 0.01M sodium phosphate, 0.25M sodium chloride, pH 7.6, 15mg/ml BSA (IgG and Protease Free). No preservative added. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Reconstitute with 1ml sterile dH2O.
