Recombinant protein corresponding to Ser2-Glu285 in human SULT2A1 expressed in E. coli (NP_003158).
SULT2A1, also called DHEAST( DHEA/bile acid sulfotransferase),is a 35kD member of the cyt- osolic sulfotransferase family, which are Phase II drugmetabolizing enzymes that catalyze the sulfation of many endogenous and xenobiotic substrates.SULT2A is primariy expressed in liver and adrenal tissues. It sulfates steroids and bile acids, playing roles in maintaining cholesterol and bile acid homeostasis by increasing cholesterol catabolism and preventing toxicity from bile acid accumulation. Human SULT2A1 shares 6365% aa identity with mouse and rat SULT2A1. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2mg/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
