Control peptide for S8500-01V, polyclonal antibody to Survivin. Apoptosis is a form of cell death that permits the removal of damaged, senescent or unwanted cells in multicellular organisms, without damage to the cellular microenvironment. Survivin is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) gene family, which encodes negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. repeat (BIR) domains, but this gene encodes proteins with only a single BIR domain. Survivin appears to have an important role in regulating apoptosis at cell cycle checkpoint(s). Survivin expression is highly cell cycle-regulated, and is detectable in the nucleus selectively at the G2/M phase. Source: Synthetic peptide corresponding to 21aa of human Survivin. Molecular Weight: ~3kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Not suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100,000 (50-100ng control peptide/well) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
