Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of human alpha-Synuclein
Alpha Synuclein is a protein of 140aa expressed abundantly in the brain. a-Synuclein is also the main component of pathogenic Lewy bodies and Lewy neurites. Mutations of the a-synuclein gene have been linked to Parkinson disease. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000, Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Controls: HeLa, 293, rat brain and mouse brain cell extracts. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
