Beta-synuclein (amino acids 1-134), an acidic neuronal protein of 134 amino acids, is extremely heat-resistant. B-synucelin also has a chaperone-like activity. Recently, b-synuclein has been suggested to inhibit b-synuclein aggregation. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-134 from human b-Synuclein, expressed in E. coli.
