TLR6 is a ~105kD cell surface type I transmembrane protein of the IL-1 receptor/Toll-like receptor (TLR) superfamily. TLRs are leucine-rich repeat-containing pattern recognition receptors for pathogen-associated molecular patterns that activate the innate immune system. TLR6 is expressed on macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, and dermal endothelial cells in ligand-independent association with TLR-2. The mouse TLR6 extracellular domain shares 72%, and 86% aa identity with human and rat TLR6, respectively, and 59% aa with mouse TLR1. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.25ug/10e6 cells using RAW 264.7 mouse monocyte/ macrophage cell line Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
