Full length purified protein corresponding to human TRAcP.
Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase type 5 (TRAcP), also referred to as Acp5, is secreted by osteoclasts during bone resorption. Release of TRAcP was stimulated by resorbogenic cytokines and repressed by calcitonin (a resorption inhibitor). TRAcP is also known to be expressed in high quantities in active macrophages and dendritic cells and play an essential part in presenting antigens to T cells. Inactive TRAcP released from adipose tissue macrophages has been shown to bring on hyperplastic obesity, keeping lipid metabolism and insulin sensitivity normal. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Dot Blot, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500 detected TRAcP in large malignant B-cells in hairy cell leukemia tissue. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Large malignant B-cells in hairy cell leukemia tissue Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
