Troponin T, also known as TNNT2, is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with restrictive and dilated cardiomyopathy. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoaffinity Purification and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: Suitable for use as a capture antibody for BIAcore. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Pair: Suitable for use as the detection or conjugate (label) antibody. Matched to T8665-22C and T8665-22A as the capture or solid phase antibody. Hydridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
