Immunogen: Synthetic peptide at the C-term of human TRPM8 (KLH).
TRPM8 is a receptor-activated non-selective cation channel involved in detection of sensations such as coolness, by being activated by cold temperature below 25 degrees Celsius. It is activated by icilin, eucalyptol, menthol, cold and modulation of intracellular pH and involved in menthol sensation. It is permeable for monovalent cations sodium, potassium, and cesium and divalent cation calcium. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:50-1:100 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
