Trypsin is a pancreatic serine protease with substrate specificity based upon positively charged lysine and arginine side chains. Trypsin is inhibited by organophosphorous compounds such as diisopropylfluorophosphate and porcine-derived inhibitors. Used in protein sequencing and tissue disassociation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:5000-1:25,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:3000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
