Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse TNF alpha expressed in E. coli.
TNF alpha is a 17kD cytokine produced by monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, NK cells and CD4+ T cells. TNF alpha forms dimers and trimers, and is also found as a 26KD integral membrane protein. Mouse TNF alpha has cytolytic activity against many tumor cell lines, and has an important immuno-regulatory role. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (frozen): see references 13-19 Flow Cytometry: see references 6-12 Neutralization: see references 1 and 22-24 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
