Human recombinant tumor necrosis factor of alpha type.
TNF-a is a macrophage/monocyte cytokine, usually found as a soluble secreted protein, which has diverse immunomodulatory, anti-tumor and toxic effects. Neutralizes the recombinant TNF-a mediated cytotoxicity of L929 cells and inhibits the tumor growth in mice. Protects mice against the toxicity of recombinant human TNF-a. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, FLISA and Inhibition of biological activity of TNFa in different biological fluids. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed frozen tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: X63.Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
