Recombinant protein corresponding to Leu79-Leu234 from guinea pig TNF-a expressed in E. coli.
TNF-a, designated TNFSF1A, is a trimeric glycoprotein active in both membrane bound and secreted forms. TNF-a is produced by several lymphoid cells as well as by astrocytes, endothelial cells, and smooth muscle cells. TNF-a binds to TNF RI and TNF RII present on virtually all cell types where it triggers the activation of multiple signal transduction pathways and modulates the expression of a wide variety of genes. Applications: Suitable for use ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA (Capture): 2-8ug/ml using T9160-36Q as the detection antibody. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
