Since the original observations that protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) play critical roles in oncogenic transformation (1,2), it has become clear that both protein tyrosine kinases and phospho-tyrosine phosphatases control a wide range of critical biological processes (3,4). Antibodies specific for phospho-tyrosine (5,6) have been invaluable reagents in these studies. The phospho-tyrosine monoclonal antibodies provide exceptionally sensitive new tools for studying tyrosine phosphorylation and monitoring tyrosine kinase activity in high throughput drug discovery. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50 ELISA: 1:1000 Flow Cytometry: 1:400 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
