Synthetic peptides containing amino acids 281-298 of human UNG.
The human UNG-gene encodes nuclear (UNG2) and mitochondrial (UNG1) forms of uracil-DNA glycosylase using differentially regulated promoters, PA and PB, and alternative splicing to produce two proteins with unique N-terminal sorting sequences. A major role of the UNG gene product(s) is to repair mutagenic U:G mispairs caused by cytosine deamination. UNG2 removes misincorporated dUMP residues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
