Synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 458-474 in the C-terminal region of rat Vanilloid Receptor Like Protein 3. UniProt Accession: Q4QYD9.
Vanilloid Receptor Like Protein 3 belongs to a family of non-selective cation channels that function in a variety of processes, including temperature sensation and vasoregulation. The thermo sensitive members of the family are expressed in subsets of sensory neurons that terminate in the skin, and are activated at distinct physiological temperatures. This channel is activiated at temperatures between 22-40 C. The gene lies in close proximity to another family member Vanilloid Receptor Like Protein 1 gene on chromosome 17, and the two encoded proteins are thought to associate with each other to form heterometric channels (3,4). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemisytry, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot:1-1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
