Synthetic arginine vasopressin conjugated to bovine thyroglobulin.
Arginine vasopressin, is a nine amino acid peptide secreted from the posterior pituitary in response to reductions in plasma volume and increases is plasma osmolarity. Its release triggers water reabsorption due to the insertion of aquaporins in the membranes of kidney tubules which transport solute-free water through tubular cells and back into the blood. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000-1:20,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended IHC Positive Control Tissue: Hypothalamus and posterior lobe of the pituitary gland Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only.
