Recombinant protein corresponding to a portion of amino acids within aa1-610 of human Ku70 conjugated to glutathione S-transferase (GST).
The p70/p80 autoantigen is a nuclear complex consisting of two subunits with molecular masses of approximately 70 and 80 kDa. The complex functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. The complex may be involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends such as that required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination. High levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been found in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. [provided by RefSeq] Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml Western Blot: 1:500-1:1,000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
