This gene encodes a member of the ZIC family of C2H2-type zinc finger proteins. Members of this family are important during development, and have been associated with X-linked visceral heterotaxy and holoprosencephaly type 5. This gene is closely linked to the gene encoding zinc finger protein of the cerebellum 1, a related family member on chromosome 3. This gene encodes a protein of unknown function. [provided by RefSeq] Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml Western Blot: 1:500-1:1,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
