Very potent protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor with high selectivity for the PKC isotypes alpha and beta. Inhibits PKCalpha (IC50=2.3nM) and PKCß1 (IC50=6.2nM) but has no effect on delta, epsilon or gamma isotypes. Potent antagonist of HIV-1 induction.
