NS-6740 switched the signaling mode of 7 in a channel-independent manner, which reduces synaptic function. NS-6740 can induce the desensitization state of 7 nAChRs. NS-6740 can result in the generation of robust nAChR-mediated currents. NS-6740 reduces lipopolysaccharide-induced TNF-alpha release from microglia. NS-6740 can be studied in research on inflammatory and neurological disease such as chronic and neuropathic pain[1][2][3].
