Recombinant human Topoisomerase II alpha fragment (aa1352-1493) (exact sequence is proprietary)
Alternative Synonym:
ATP hydrolyzing DNA topoisomerase II alfa, DNA gyrase, DNA topoisomerase (ATP hydrolyzing), DNA topoisomerase 2 alpha, DNA topoisomerase II 170kD, DNA topoisomerase II alpha, Topoisomerase DNA II alpha 170kDa, TP2A
The topoisomerase II-(TM) isoform is a 170kDa nuclear protein and plays an important role in DNA synthesis and RNA transcription, as well as chromosomal segregation during mitosis. Topoisomerase II-(TM) is reported to be a sensitive and specific marker of late S-, G2- & M-phases in transformed and developmentally regulated normal cells, and has been shown to be over-expressed in many human cancers. Decreased expression of Topoisomerase II-(TM) is the predominant mechanism of resistance to several chemotherapeutic agents.
Ab produced in HEK293 cell mammalian-based expression system. Prepared in 10mM PBS with 0.05% BSA & 0.05% azide. Also available WITHOUT BSA & azide.
DNA topoisomerase 2-alpha Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (MSVA-802R) tested on many normal and cancer tissues. The immunohistochemistry staining in these tissues aligns with the expression data in Human Protein Atlas.
