Selective SIRT2 inhibitor (IC50 = 15.5um), displays no effect on SIRT1 or SIRT3. Decreases neuronal cholesterol levels, improves motor function and ameliorates brain atrophy in a mouse model of Huntingtons disease. Brain penetrant. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
