Selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that is shown to reversibly block agonist-induced activation of GIRK currents. Reported to have a 15-fold selectivity for D2R over D3R in vitro. Inhibition of 3H-spirperone binding to cloned rat Dopamine receptors show the following Ki values: D2R (7.1nM), D3R (155nM), D4R (596nM). Commonly used D2 inhibitor in addiction research. CAS No: 81226-60-0 Molecular Formula: C20H21ClN2O Solubility: DMSO Primary Target: D2 Primary Target Ki: 7.1nM Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C.
