CD79B, as known as B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain isoform 1, is B- cell-specific glycoprotein B29. It is a single-pass type 1 membrane protein containing one Ig-like V-type domain and one ITAM domain. This protein is required in cooperation with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR). CD79A and B proteins are required for BCR- meditated signaling and consequently for the development and activation of B lineage cells. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa29-159 from human CD79B, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell.
