Clathrin is the major protein of the polyhedral coat of coated pits and vesicles. Acts as component of the TACC3/ch-TOG/clathrin complex proposed to contribute to stabilization of kinetochore fibers of the mitotic spindle by acting as inter-microtubule bridge. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-235 from mouse Clathrin light chain A, fused to 6X His-Tag at N-terminal and Flag-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in Mammalian cell. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
