Colicins are polypeptide toxins produced by and active against E.coli and closely related bacteria. This colicin is an endonuclease. Partial recombinant protein corresponding to aa74-180 from Escherichia coli Colicin-E5, fused to 6X His-SUMO-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
