Dioxygenase that catalyzes the 2-oxoglutarate-dependent selective hydroxylation of free L-proline to cis-3-hydroxy-L-proline (cis-3-Hyp). D-proline, trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, cis-4-hydroxy-L-proline, cis-4-hydroxy-D-proline, and 3,4-dehydro-DL-proline are not substrates. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-290 from Streptomyces sp. L-proline cis-3-hydroxylase 1, fused to 10X His-Tag at N-terminal and Myc-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in E.coli.
