Recombinant Disulfide Oxidoreductase (rDsbA), produced from E. coli is a periplasmic protein and thioredoxin superfamily member which introduces disulfide bonds directly into substrate proteins by donating the disulfide bond in its active-site Cys30-Pro31-His32-Cys33 to a pair of cysteines in substrate proteins. DsbA consists of 208 amino acids containing signal peptide (1-19 amino acids). Recombinant protein corresponding to DsbA (residues 20-208) was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
